Lantern Workshop is a craft site dedicated to the joy and art of hand-built, hand-carried and large-scale outdoor lanterns for events and festivals. We are committed to the idea that art is for everyone.
We will launch this Spring 2009 with detailed photo tutorials of basic and intermediate lantern designs. Also there will be articles and discussion on advanced techniques for detailed and large-scale work for the artist or serious hobbyist.
We will also feature galleries of user-submitted example lanterns for appreciation and inspiration, and a calendar of confirmed lantern festivals and events worldwide.
